In this course, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of App Registrations and Enterprise Applications in Microsoft Entra ID, and why they matter in a Microsoft 365 environment. You’ll learn what these components are, how they relate to each other, and the role they play when an application needs to authenticate, request permissions, or access Microsoft 365 resources within a tenant.
Throughout the course, you’ll build a clear understanding of the difference between an application as it is defined in Entra ID and the local representation of that application inside a tenant. You’ll also explore important concepts such as single-tenant and multi-tenant applications, service principals, and the identity objects that allow apps to interact with Microsoft services.
As the course progresses, you’ll also explore the security importance of these application identities within a Microsoft 365 environment.
