Fundamental of Electrical Network Analysis

Fundamental of Electrical Network Analysis, circuit analysis.

Course Description

  1. The course gives a description of the components of an electrical circuit. This course covers a wide range of circuit elements, including linear, active, passive, nonlinear, bilateral, unilateral, time-variant, time-invariant, lumped, and distributed elements.
  2. This course described the various types of electrical sources, such as voltage and current sources. Independent voltage/current sources and dependent voltage/current sources are the two types of voltage/current sources.
  3. This course also covered two fundamental laws: voltage division and current division. In a series electrical circuit, the voltage division law applies, whereas in a parallel electrical circuit, the current division law applies.
  4. There are two types of sources in the electrical domain: voltage and current source. These sources are converted into voltage to current sources and current to voltage sources.
  5. Kirchhoff’s laws are required to solve the basic electrical circuit. Kirchhoff’s laws are classified into two types: Kirchhoff’s voltage laws and Kirchhoff’s current laws.
  6. Kirchhoff’s voltage laws are modified in mesh analysis to solve advanced electrical circuits, whereas Kirchhoff’s current laws are modified in nodal analysis.
  7. After completing this course, students will be able to understand the solving technique of an electrical circuit and will be more prepared to understand other subjects in electrical engineering such as an electrical machine, power electronics, and power system.
