In just six lessons, you will master the basics of Romanian phonetics. The focus of the course is on learning:

• the phonetic pronunciation of all letters in various positions of a word;
• the specific pronunciation of groups of two letters (digraphs);
• the specific pronunciation of groups of three letters (trigraphs);
• the types of accent/stress and its relevance in spoken Romanian language

Learning a new language from the very basics is highly recommended even if considered boring by those willing to go straight to the dialogue lessons. Without mastering the basics properly, you will sooner or later be forced to go back to the starting point. Mastering the basics will save time in the long run and ensure that your reading skills and pronunciation are there, offering you a solid base for further progress.

At the end of this course, you will be able to read in the Romanian language. Being fully aware of the phonetic rules, your pronunciation has a baseline and a set of guidelines to follow once you move to the following stages of learning.
